Social Programs

Immigrant and Refugee Inclusion Project

In partnership with the UN and NGOs linked to the assistance of refugees and immigrants, a project was developed to include this public in the work. From welcome in the city, help with housing and food, social and psychological assistance, among others.

Recreating Life Project

Cercena encourages volunteering through its employees, who participate in activities together with the entity that cares for children at risk, supporting events, ludic and recreational activities and collecting donations and food.

Encouraging the inclusion of women

Carrying out campaigns to encourage the hiring of women, offering courses and training and making it possible to open spaces in leadership positions. In the last two years, the company has increased the participation of women in its different jobs by 40%.

Cercena monitors, supports and finances institutions such as:

Environment

Solid Waste Management Plan (PGRS)

By managing the PGRS, our company makes waste available in an environmentally correct manner, following the criteria established in norms and ordinances at the national, state and municipal levels, seeking to mitigate waste through the following principles:

  • No Generation;
  • Reduction;
  • Reuse;
  • Recycling;
  • Treatment;
  • Appropriate final disposition

Wastewater treatment

In the powder painting process, an affluent is generated that is treated in our Effluent Treatment Station (ETE) to be released into a water course with the parameters controlled according to the Technical Guideline of the agency
state environment.

Reverse logistic

  • Plastic drums, used in our company’s processes, are destined for licensed companies, where will be treated and reused;
  • The same process occurs with waste copper, aluminum, light bulbs, grinding wheels and cutting discs, which are intended for licensed companies to carry out their treatments and subsequently dispose of them in a environmentally correct or reused in its processes.

Correct Environmental Destination

The waste that our company generates for which no environmentally correct solutions have been found, are destined to landfill licensed by the environmental agency.

Reuse of Foundry Waste Sand (ADF)

According to a project approved by FEPAM in 2008, we send ADF waste to ceramics, to be used as raw material in the production of ceramic bricks;

It is our commitment to put into practice, through innovations and technologies, sustainable projects, so that reducing the impact of the company and promoting awareness actions.

Waste Reuse

  • Sand recirculation system, used in the molding and demolding process of castings, which returns to the process.
  • The residue of iron filings, produced in the machining process, is reused to form the Briquette, a cylindrical plywood chip, used as raw material, together with the channels, generated by its breakage in the finishing of the parts;
  • Cleaning the cutting oil used in machining, with the aid of an oil regenerator, to reuse it in the process;
  • Cores with defects are crushed and their residue is introduced into the lining of pans;

Waste Recycling

With the 5S program, the correct separation of waste is also disseminated among our employees, reflecting on the
environmental management. Thus, all material classified as Plastic and Paper are sent to a
recycling, from our city, where they are recycled and sent to manufacture new materials
